Each one of these diplomas requires 6 courses to be taken over a period of maximum 2 years. Diplomas are awarded only upon successful completion of all 6 courses.
If you decide to withdraw from the Diploma Program (for any reason), all payments made by GSE should be refunded. (You are to pay for all the courses that you have attended.) This is an expectation for your acceptance.
Students are required to complete their diploma within two years which is the duration of the scholarship, after which students will complete the remaining courses on their expense.
Courses are offered during the academic year in the fall and spring semesters (terms), as well as the summer semester.
Classes are held from 4:30 pm to 7:15 pm to suit students who work during the day.
During the fall and spring semesters, each course meets once a week, for 12 weeks. However, during the summer semester, each course meets twice a week for 6 weeks.
Once you pass the exam, your name will be sent to the Minister's office for final approval.
The Director of the Professional Educator Diploma will send an acceptance letter by email to all those who have been accepted into the program.
Accepted students are to take a hard copy of their acceptance letter to pay and register for classes.
You will be required to sign a form that includes a commitment to repay the scholarship if you withdraw. The fund for the scholarship is not unlimited; therefore, if you do not complete the requirements, you owe the money to the program to be used by other students.
The scholarship is offered for two years during which students are requested to complete their diploma, otherwise the remaining courses will be completed at their own expense.
