Three (3) sentences, with an underlined error in each, are provided. The students are required to correct the error in each sentence. (1 ½ marks each)
7-Look at the picture and write three more sentences: (4½ marks)
A clear expressive picture is provided. The first sentence is provided in fill. The students are asked to write three complete sentences bearing on the picture with the help of given clues (a word for each sentence). (1 ½ mark each)
D-Punctuation (1 Mark)
8-Punctuate the following sentence: (1 mark)
A sentence of about ten (10) words, without four (4) different punctuation marks, is provided.
The students are asked to punctuate the sentence correctly. ( ¼ mark each)

The students are asked to write a personal letter or an e-mail. The topic of the letter/
e-mail should be self-explanatory (i.e. easy to understand). The name of the sender and addressee should be mentioned.
8-F-Translation (4 Marks)
a-Translate into Arabic: (2Marks)
Two (2) separate, short meaningful sentences are provided. Students are asked to translate them from English into Arabic.
Translate into English (2 Marks)
One short meaningful sentence is provided. Students are asked to translate it from Arabic into English.
The translation question aims at testing the students’ awareness of the areas of conflict between the mother tongue and target language.
(Total: 50 x 4 =20 Marks for each term)

بس كدة يااخواننا القواعد يبقى ملهاش لازمة لما يختصر دورها على الاختيارى بس
الطالب هيهملها ومش هيذاكرها ودى مفيدة فى التعبير والترجمة يلا يعملوا اللى يعملوة !!!!

D-The Novel (7 Marks)
6-Answer the following questions( 4 marks)
The students are asked to answer two questions only out of four questions
( 2 marks each):
a-four open-ended questions
b-two quotation questions with three questions based on each question( students answer one quotation only ( 3 marks )
The questions should test the students’ understanding of the plot, incidents and characters in the two short stories assigned for each term. (one mark each)
E- Writing (8 Marks)
7-a-Write a paragraph of Seven (7) Sentences about-:
The students are asked to write a paragraph of seven sentences about a topic appealing to their age, interests, likes, aspirations, etc. The title of the paragraph should be self-explanatory (i.e. easy to understand) No guidance is given.
OR
Write a letter! an e-mail to:-
The students are asked to write a personal letter or an e-mail. The topic of the letter/
e-mail should be self-explanatory (i.e. easy to understand). The name of the sender and addressee should be mentioned.
8-F-Translation (4 Marks)
a-Translate into Arabic: (2Marks)
Two (2) separate, short meaningful sentences are provided. Students are asked to translate them from English into Arabic.
Translate into English (2 Marks)
One short meaningful sentence is provided. Students are asked to translate it from Arabic into English.
The translation question aims at testing the students’ awareness of the areas of conflict between the mother tongue and target language.
(Total: 50 x 4 =20 Marks for each term)
