Tonight's question

Translate into English :

لابد من الاعتراف ان المعلم قد تم اهماله طويلا ولقد تجاهل المجتمع طويلا الاوضاع المعكوسه التى يعيش فيها فهل يمكن للمعلم المطحون الذى يحصل على 300 جنيه فى الشهر والذى يعول اسره ويركب مواصلات ويعالج اولاده هل يمكن ان يكون نموذجا لطلابه؟ كبف يمكن ان نتوقع هذا فى ظل هذا الدخل المحدود؟

we have to admit that the teacher has been neglected for so long and that the whole society closed eyes on the upside down conditions which the teacher face .How can an opressed teacher -with a 300-monthly salaryand who has to support his family , take puplic transport and visit doctors from time to time for his sick children-can be a model or an example for his students?.how can this happen with this very limited income?

but without saying that ed describes humans and ing describes unreasonable

The ed adjectives are used to describe how we feel.
ex. Dina is bored
Sara is intersted in studying English
The ing adjectives are used to describe the person or thing that makes us have this feeling
ex. Dina is boring
The film is boring
Ahmed is an intersting boy
So it's clear that it's wrong to say that ing adjectives are for things only and ed for humans as you have said

Adjectives ending with (ed) is used to describe the objective wheither it is a human being or a thing and adjectives ending with ing is used to describe the doer

I can simply say:
Amr is frightening
and
Amr is frightened
the difference is that Amr in the first sentence is the one who causes fear. while in the second sentence Amr doesnot cause fear instead he feels it as something else causes it.
I can also say:
The cat is frightening and the rat is frightened.
( notice they are both animals)
It is really misleading to say that adjectives ending with ed are for humans and those ending with ing are for things or animals.

First of all ,tanslation is an art so please ,let me express the way I see the translation then you judge frankly.
- Our Egyptian society should take it for granted that the followed governments have ignored and neglected the teacher s conditions ,who leads a living death (living hell)for over long .Can the overloaded teacher who earns three hundred pounds a month ,be responsible for a family,pay for means of ransport and the treatment of his sons and daughters, be a good example for his students? How do we expect that throug this bracket income ?
