Labiaplasty: Understanding the Anatomy Otto Placik MD. a board certified Chicago based plastic surgeon presents Vulvar Vaginal Genital anatomy lesson reviewing the Vulva, Mons Pubis, clitoral hood, prepuce, frenulum, labia minora & majora, vagina, urethra and fourchette with surgical implications and techniques. Photos pictures and video of anatomic models are reviewed in detail on different models. Great for patients thinking about or planning before labiaplasty or vaginal cosmetic surgery. CAUTION: For mature audiences Enjoy the video here http://dacatra.com/video/_understand...e_anatomy.html ===================== Basic Gross anatomy of the human heart Not an IDE4 as such but a short basic lecture on the gross anatomy, function of the Heart This is my own schematic drawing of the heart. 4 chambers 4 valves:: Mitral 2 leaves, Left Atrium to Left Ventricle Tricuspid 3 leaves, Right atrium to Right Ventricle Aortic 3 leaves, Left Ventricle to Aorta Pulmonary 3 leaves, right Ventricle to Pulmonary Artery 4 pulmonary veins transport oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium. Pulmonary artery takes de-oxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs. Note Myocardium Note Apex Note function of the root of the aorta, and attachment of the three coronary arteries. LDA, Circumflex and RCA Some pathology Ischemia, may lead to AMI or perhaps merely angina Hypertrophy (often due to chronic high blood pressure) Infective endocarditis, may cause stroke requires quite aggressive and sustained treatment, consider friable material coming of the valve causing a stroke to the brain. Stenosis (narrowing) of a valve, mitral stenosis may be more common purportedly because it is a 2 leave valve Enjoy the video http://dacatra.com/video/basic_gross...man_heart.html ===================== How the Heart Works animation video http://dacatra.com/video/how_the_hea...ion_video.html ===================== How the Body Works : Inside the Heart How the Body Works : Inside the Heart The heart is a muscular pumping organ which beats nonstop to circulate blood around the body. It functions as two halves, each consisting of a holding chamber, or atrium, and a pumping center, or ventricle. After circulating around the body, blood, now deoxygenated, returns to the right atrium through large veins, the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava. When the atrium is full, blood is forced through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. It is then pumped to the lungs through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary artery. The oxygenated blood returns via the pulmonary veins to the left atrium. After flowing through the mitral valve it is pumped out of the left ventricle into the aorta to return to the general circulation.
