افتراضي News---Beverley Council zooms in on 24-hour Survei

ROUND-the-clock surveillance could soon be introduced in Beverley to help police fight crime.Beverley Town Council is considering a link-up with Bridlington to ensure the town is covered 24 hours a day. Constant monitoring would help police tackle outbreaks of street violence,securitycamera2000.com/categories/Car-Electronics/Car-Camcorders/:securitycamera2000.com/categories/Car-Electronics/Car-Camcorders/]car camcorder, such as the running battles that marred Beverley Fair last month. At the moment, images from the town's ten security cameras are only viewed after a crime is reported.CCTV in the East Riding is organized by town and parish councils as well as East Riding Council.Beverley has ten cameras dotted around the town centre and the footage can be viewed by officers at the town police station. However, it is not constantly monitored. The monitoring centre in Bridlington is run around the clock by East Riding Council to monitor activity on the foreshore, but no other towns in the East Riding have CCTV that is constantly monitored. The first stage of the project involves integrating the existing feed from Beverley's ten cameras with one from a separate system on the Cherry Tree estate into the police station at North Bar Without. The town council has agreed to progress with that plan, but the costs, thought to relatively modest,securitycamera2000.com:securitycamera2000.c om]sc2000, have not been revealed because the contract is still being negotiated. The Beverley link-up will be followed by discussions with two telecom providers, BT and KC, about the cost of feeding the images from Beverley to Bridlington.Mike White, group manager for technical services at East Riding Council, has been advising the town council on the possibility of it linking in to the parent authority's monitoring system at Bridlington.
