Personal computers have been in existence for a comparatively short time, before 1947 computers were very expensive machines that were the preserve of successful companies or large education and research establishments .the number of people who had any contact with acomputer was also small and the idea of writing a''popular'' book on computing would have been laughed of as avery poor joke . Now everything has changed. Computers are cheap and many new companies have emerged from nowhere to supply the ever growing market for low cost computers in fact law cost compyters in fact awhole industry has developed around the modern microcomputers.If we go back to the time when computers were expensive and asked any computer expert if someone could make aliving selling cheap computers to the population,the answer would have been an emphatic no. It is imprtant to realise that what has happened to computers and a computer user is very remarkable.Computer with the social changes that the introduction of the television or radio brought about, so far the oersonal computer revolution is none-event. We use personal computer to improve the speed and efficiency of traditional tasks but there are very few new activites that have developed.........
