A relative clause follows a noun (or sometimes a whole clause, referring to the whole clause). Something leaks when there is a hole or ***** so that liquid or gas can get in or out, usually by fault or mistake. A water wheel picks water up and pours it into some sort of channel. It doesn’t let water out unintentionally through a *****, so why would heavy rain make a water wheel do so?
