Re: I recieve error code 49.4C02 from my HP3005N printer. Post options 02-21-2011 11:21 PM Some complicated printer errors can be triggered by more than one thing. Printer error code “49.4c02” is one of them. It occurs when there is corrupted data. This may confuse the printer, and it stops functioning. In other cases, the data is corrupted while being transferred to the printer. Some printer models are naturally prone to this error because of their driver, while others can display this error while printing a specific font. Printer error code 49.4c02 may be caused due to the following: * Corrupted or big size print queue * Hardware problems * Faulty memory storage Corrupted or big size print queue Printer error 49.4c02 may occur due to corrupted print queue. Just clear the queue and restart the printer and the error may be fixed. This would seem to work for most cases. If none of them are corrupted, check to see if any of them are in an uncommon size. Larger printings tend to result in this error as well. Check if it’s the cause by clearing the queue then printing normal-sized documents instead. The error may also be caused due to complicated fonts as they are harder to read, especially if they’re in color or written in a pdf format. If this is the cause of the error you can either stop printing such documents and update the drivers or firmware. The drivers may contain bugs which cause the printers to act this way, so updating them will solve the problem. Hardware problems In other cases, it may be the hardware inside the printer that causes Printer error 49.4c02. This is often the case if you suspect the printer is reporting errors because of data corruption. Some printers report this error right before you disconnect from the computer. This is probably due to faulty netcard. They come with the printer, and once damaged, may cause connectivity troubles. Remove it, and then check if the printer comes back online. If it does, just replace the net card. Faulty memory storage If this is still not the case, Printer error code “49.4c02” may be caused due to faulty memory storage. Swap out ROM and RAM with ones from a working printer, then check if it works. Also problems with formatter board may cause Printer error code “49.4c02”. 0
