In the past, having children for parents was more important than today. To them , marriage didn't mean getting a husband or a wife but to have children as a sort of security in their old age.

في الماضي ، كان إنجاب الأطفال بالنسبةللآباء والأمهاتأكثر أهميةمما هو عليه اليوم. فبالنسبة لهم ،لم يكنالزواجيعنيالحصول علىزوج أو زوجةولكن أن يكون لديهم أطفالكنوع منالأمان فيشيخوختهم.

Translate into English:-

1- لقد اختطف المجرمون طفلا صغيرا و طالبوا بمبلغ كبير من المال ليطلقوا سراحه.

1- Criminals have kidnapped a small child and demanded a large sum of money to release him.

2- يعتز الشعب المصري بالقوات المسلحة لدورها العظيم في الحرب والسلام.

2- The Egyptian People are proud of the Armed Forces for its great role in war and peace.

Translate into Arabic:-

Many scientists are optimistic about finding and developing new ways of generating large amounts of energy , but at the same time they fear the consequences that will happen if the world population goes on increasing at its present rate.

العديد من العلماءمتفائلون بشأنإيجاد وتطويرطرقجديدة لتوليدكميات كبيرة منالطاقة ، ولكنفي الوقت نفسه يخشون منالعواقب التيقد تحدثإذااستمرتعداد سكان العالم في الازدياد بمعدلهالحالي.

Translate into English:-

1- لقد بدا العالم يشعر بخطورة الموقف بعد تزايد نسبة التلوث البيئي.

1- The world has begun to feel the seriousness of ( the gravity of ) the situation after the increase in the proportion of (percentage of) environmental pollution.

2- هل تعتقد أن الوقود الحيوي هو الحل الأمثل لمعالجة أزمة نقص الوقود؟

2- Do you think that bio-fuel is the best ( ideal ) solution to solve the crisis of the shortage of fuel?

Translate into Arabic:-

It's thought that the wave of democracy can't be stopped and will forever change the region and the global power politics. Some protests have become revolution as governments have been overthrown. Others haven't got that so far but have been peaceful other times met with very brutal repression.

من المعتقد أنّ موجةَ الديمقراطيةِ لا يُمْكن أنْ تُتوقّفَ وسَتُغيّرُ المنطقةَ إلى الأبد بل وسياسةَ القوّة العالميةَ. ولقد أصبحت بَعْض الاحتجاجات ثورةً وأسقطت عددا من الحكومات. والبعض الأخر لم يتحقق له ذلك حتى الآن ورغم سلمية تلك الاحتجاجات إلا أنها تم قمعِها بشكل وحشيِ للغاية.

Translate into English:-

1- إن استثمار كل أموالك في البورصة شيء محفوف بالمخاطر أليس كذلك؟.

1- Investing all your money in the stoke market is ( something ) risky , isn't it?

2- اعتقد أن الكتابة موهبة يمتلكها بعض الناس ويتم تنميتها مع مرور الوقت.

2- I think that writing is a talent possessed by some people and it can be developed over time.

Translate into Arabic:-

Sometimes it is difficult to know exactly what a speaker means, even when you have heard and understood every word. When this happens , ask the speaker for confirmation of your understanding. In fact , you should do so without insulting the speaker.

أحياناً يكون من الصعب معْرِفة الذي يَعْنيه المتكلّم بالضبط ، حتى عندما تسَمع وتفَهم كُلّ كلمة. عندما يَحْدثُ هذا ، عليك أن تسْألُ المتكلّمَ لتأكيدِ فَهْمكَ لما يقول. في الواقع، أنت يَجِبُ أَنْ تفعل ذلك بدون إهانة المتكلّمِ.

Translate into English:-

1- تتزايد أعداد السائحين إلى مصر مما يبشر بمستقبل مشرق لهذه الصناعة بمصر.

1 - Increasing numbers of tourists to Egypt, promises a bright future for this industry in Egypt.

2- لقد استعان الأعداء ببعض الجواسيس للحصول على معلومات سرية أثناء الحرب.

2 - Enemies have hired some spies to obtain secret information during the war.

Translate into Arabic:-

Protecting the environment is a public service . Everyone benefits from a cleaner environment. Everyone can enjoy woods and wild life spared from destruction. So, more money must be spent on protecting our environment.

إن حماية البيئةتعد خدمة عامةفكل فرد يستفد من بيئةأنظف. كذلك يمكن للجميعالتمتعبالغاباتوالحياةالبريةبحمايتهامن الدمار. لذا، يجبأن تنفقالمزيد من الأموال علىحمايةبيئتنا.

1- يقال بان عمر إحدى الأشجار بالولايات المتحدة يناهز عمر الأهرامات بمصر.

1- It's said that the age of a tree in the United States is about the age of the Pyramids in Egypt.

2- إن السعي للسلام يتطلب كثيرا من العمل الجاد والصبر والحلول الوسيطة.

2 - The quest for peace requires a lot of hard work, patience and middleware solutions.

Translate into Arabic:-

Language is the only window we have to see into someone else's mind . It helps us to communicate with each other. However, communication is not possible when we don't understand the words and symbols that someone else is using.

إن اللغة هيالإطارالوحيد الذي لدينا لفهم ما يقصده الشخص الآخر. إنها تساعدنا علىالتواصل معبعضها البعض. ومع ذلك، فإن الاتصال (التواصل)قد يكون غير ممكنعندما لانفهم الكلماتوالرموز التي يستخدمهاالشخص الآخر.

Translate into Arabic:-

Almost everyone agrees that dealing with anger is important so that we don't let it control us or make us say or do things we would later regret. We should be aware of our angry thoughts and try to challenge them.

يتفق الجميع تقريبا علىأن التعامل معالغضب مهم ( للغاية / جدا) وذلك حتى لاندعهيسيطر عليناأو يجعلنانقولأونفعل أشياءقدنأسف عليها (لاحقا / فيما بعد). لذا يجب علينا أن نكونعلى (وعي / بينة / دراية) منأفكارنافي وقت الغضب ومحاولةالتغلب عليها.

.Translate into English:-

1- يعارض الكثير إجراء أي تجارب علمية تهدف إلي التدخل في تكوين الطبيعة البشرية.

1 – Many people oppose to any scientific experiments designed to intervene in the formation of human nature.

2- تصدر الحكومة القوانين التي من شانها منع ارتكاب الجريمة وتحقيق الأمان للمجتمع.

Translate into Arabic:-

Science has told us so much about the moon and scientists are certain that it isn't a friendly place. As there is no water or air , there can be no life of any kind or variety of scenery either.

لقد أخبرَنا العلم الكثير عنالقمر والعلماءواثقون / متأكدون منأن القمر ليس مكانمألوفا للعيش فيه. حيث لا يوجد بهماء أوهواء ، لذا لا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ يكون هناك حياةِ من أيّ نوع (على القمر) أو حتى أشكالا متنوعة / مختلفة من المناظر الطبيعية أيضا.

.Translate into English:-

1- عندما تشرق الشمس فإنها ترسل أشعتها المفيدة والضارة في آن واحد.

1- When the sun shines / rises it sends its useful and harmful rays at the same time.

2- تعد البراكين والزلازل من الظواهر الطبيعية التي لا يمكن التنبؤ بها.

2- Volcanoesand earthquakesareof natural phenomenathat can not bepredicted.

3- ينبغي على الإنسان حماية الغلاف الجوي من التلوث لأنه يمتص أشعة الشمس الضارة.

3- Man shouldprotect the atmosphere frompollution because it absorbsthe sun's harmfulrays.

Translate into Arabic:-

It has long been known that when exposed to light under suitable conditions of temperature and moisture, the green parts of plants use carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen to it. This process is called photosynthesis.

معلوم منذ قديم الأزل أنه عندماتتعرض الأجزاء الخضراء من النباتاتللضوءفي ظل ظروف(معينة ) (مناسبة)من درجة الحرارة والرطوبة، فان النباتات تستخدمثاني أكسيد الكربون من الجو(الموجود بالجو) وتطلقالأكسجين إليه . وهذا ما يسمىعمليةالبناء الضوئي.

Translate into English:-

1- يكره البعض التكنولوجيا الحديثة فهم يفضلون الحياة البسيطة في الماضي.

1 –Somepeople hatemodern technology, asthey preferthe simple lifeof the past.

2- إن ممارسة الرياضة تمكننا من مقاومة الأمراض والتمتع بالحياة.

2 – Doing / Practising sports enables us to resist diseases and enjoy life.

3- يجب أن نرشد استهلاكنا من المياه وإلا سنواجه مشكلات خطيرة في المستقبل القريب.

3 – We must rationalize our consumption of water; otherwise, we will face serious problems in the near future.

Translate into Arabic:-

City life can be particularly appealing to young people who like the excitement of the city. However, many people, when they get older, often prefer the peace and fresh air of the countryside.

إن الحياة في المدينةيمكنأن تكون جذابةوخاصةللشبابالذين يحبونالإثارة والمتعة المتوفرة هناك. ومع ذلك، فإن كثير من الناس، وخاصة عندمايتقدمون في السن،غالبا ما تفضلالسلاموالهواء النقيالمتوفر في الريف.

Translate into English:-

1- إن إجبار ملاك السيارات على دفع ضرائب إضافية قد يحل مشاكل المرور.

1- Forcing car owners to pay additional taxes may solve traffic problems.

2- يجب على المواطنين معرفة واجباتهم قبل المطالبة بحقوقهم تحت مظلة الديمقراطية.

2 -Citizens must know their duties before they claim their rights under the umbrella of democracy.

3- إن الاستفتاء على التعديلات الدستورية لحظة مصيرية في حياة الشعب المصري.
